Disposing of the Aqua-Solution product itself is environmentally safe and considered a non hazardous paint waste and wastewater solution. However, the liquid that Aqua-Solution absorbs is the determining factor in disposal. If the liquid that is absorbed is hazardous, then the Aqua-Solution gelatin of the liquid is also hazardous in nature. Aqua-Solution simply turns the liquid into a gel state, so it changes the physical make up and not the chemical make up. Depending on the absorbed product, Aqua Solution maybe suitable for landfill purposes. If a hazardous waste is absorbed it must be disposed of in an appropriate hazardous waste landfill. Review of Federal, State and Local waste disposal regulations is essential to determine the appropriate disposal alternative.

Applying Aqua-Solution to Concrete Wastewater

In the case of gelling concrete wastewater, the concrete wastewater is considered contaminated. You need to disclose to the landfill, concrete recycler or water waste treatment facility the contents in the Aqua-Solution is concrete wastewater. The facility will then place your gelled concrete wastewater in the same area as concrete solids. Concrete solids are not considered hazardous. The concrete wastewater that is now a gelled solid is non hazardous and disposal of water is environmentally safe. The MSDS supports that Aqua-Solution is non-hazardous and environmentally friendly. Aqua-Solution meets and exceed the EPA, OSHA and ANSI Guidelines for absorbent material performances. Aqua-Solution has been Freeze-Thaw Tested which means liquids will not be released from the gel after freezing and subsequent heating to 160 degrees F.

Applying Aqua-Solution to Paint Washouts, Paint Buckets or other Waste Paint Containers

Aqua-Solution passes the Paint Filter Liquid Test (Method 9095). These means, for instance, you can apply Aqua-Solution to your waste paint left in your paint buckets or washouts, gel the water based paint and dispose in the landfill. If the landfill requires the MSDS for Aqua-Solution click here and print the MSDS to hand to officials in your area. Aqua-Solution has also been Freeze-Thaw Tested which means liquids will not be released from the gel after freezing and subsequent heating to 160 degrees F. Note: Aqua-Solution will only gel water based paint and products.

Applying Aqua-Solution to Other Water Based Products

Aqua-Solution will gel any/most water based products. Aqua-Solution will absorb the water in your product turning it to gel with an expansion rate of less than 1%. This means that if you have one bucket of water for disposal, you will have one bucket of gelled water after treated. The gel will not expand. Great for disposing of many products and excellent in wastewater management of any kind!
